Hey, I'm alive. I've just been going through some shit (and I'm gonna be very, VERY blunt about it). Two people who I don't want to name have accused me of being a goddamn pedophile. They were very, VERY close to me and helped me with my depression, so now they want nothing to do with me it hurt me to know end. On top of that I have recently contracted a horrible sickness. I don't know what it is due to me fearing and avoiding the doctor like the plague, but chances are it's the flu. Not helped by the HORRIFIC fever dreams I've been enduring, being stuck in my bed for a week or more and you have the recipe for a man crying for the blood of his enemies.
But I'm not here to whine like a bullied austistic manchild. No no, instead I'm posting SOMETHING to whet the appetites of anyone who gives two shits about my account. I've been commissioned by and to do some art for them, and in Daniel's case, a reinterpretation of his Scarlett in Trouble series. I'm posting this just to tell my watchers, YES, I am working on them but I am sick and in horrible pain, so that's why the delay has been so stretched as well as another reason: I've never watched or seen anything GI Joe related, and thus didn't know how to put the characters and the story on paper. So before I caught the flu, I did some experimenting and practice drawing, which you can see here. We have three characters from Daniel's story, Scarlett, Duke and Major Bludd. Scarlett here is a combination of her 80's persona and her film persona, and I'm going to color it green and yellow because those are the colors she has in Daniel's comic. Duke is, well, basically just lifted off of Channing Tatum's role as him, but I may color him blonde to combine him with his mainstream interpretations. Major Bludd is a different story, so I just looked up a ton of images on Google Images of the guy and piece together whatever interested me. I actually kind of like the results.
As for why I haven't posted the Cobra Troopers yet (in case Daniel is reading this) is because they are UNBELIEVABLY hard to draw, not helped by my stubborn obsession to combine Daniel's interpretation with the general idea of them and the movie's take on them. Rest assured, though, I will get it all done once I'm completely fine. Now I'm going to go to sleep, I hurt all over.
But really, the reason I posted this in the first place is for your opinion. So, how do Scarlett, Duke and Major Bludd look?
Do they look like how you envisioned them in your original comic?
Drawing different faces is easy when you understand how a head and all its features work. I imagine you do so it shouldn't be THAT hard.
